FAQs

About the EE&R Program

The EE&R Program provides no-cost, energy-efficient appliances to eligible SoCalGas customers — including families, schools, and businesses — through live Eco Entertainment events.

By pairing energy-efficient upgrades with concerts and community experiences, our program makes climate action more accessible. Its mission is to lower energy use, help reduce utility bills, and bring real value to underserved communities across California.

On the commercial side, the program supports commercial, public, and multifamily properties. On the residential side, eligible participants include single-family and multi-family homeowners or tenants who attend an Eco Entertainment event and complete the application process. In both cases, the goal is to help deliver meaningful energy savings through no-cost, high-efficiency upgrades — making the program accessible to businesses and households alike.

Yes — the EE&R Programs are truly no cost to participants. All eligible equipment, materials, and installation services are fully funded through the program. There are no hidden fees or out-of-pocket expenses.

As long as the customer qualifies and completes the application process, they can receive energy-efficient upgrades at absolutely no cost.

Participants in the Large Facilities Program may qualify for high-efficiency tankless water heaters, commercial foodservice equipment such as ovens and dishwashers, and commercial laundry products.

In parallel, the Eventgoers Program for SoCalGas residential customers offers high-efficiency home appliances, including dishwashers, clothes dryers, as well as energy efficiency kits.

All installations are performed by licensed and experienced professionals.

Our contractors are thoroughly vetted to ensure they meet all necessary certifications and comply with local codes and safety standards.

Yes! The newly installed equipment is yours to keep. However, it must remain at the original installation site and may not be removed or relocated. The equipment must stay intact and in place to comply with program guidelines.

Schools that host events will receive priority access to energy efficiency opportunities, compared to those that participate without hosting.

If you are a school interested in hosting an event on your campus, you can complete a Program Interest Form, and a program representative will follow up to begin onboarding.

About Eco Entertainment Events

Eco Entertainment live events are open to the public, and anyone is welcome to attend — especially SoCalGas customers living in the service territory. Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, family, or community member, you’re invited to be part of the experience.

However, some events will be hosted on school campuses, and in those cases, access may be limited to enrolled students and their friends & family members.

Visit our official website and follow us on social media for the latest event details, ticket info, and announcements. You can also sign up for email updates or check with your school or community representative if they’re hosting.

You can reach out to our team directly at info@ecoentertainment.com. We’re happy to answer questions, provide details, or help you get started.
